John is an Irishman, a native of New Ross, Co. Wexford, Ireland and Mary is American born in Duluth, Minnesota. We met in Florida, married and together started arranging Irish Tours and opened The Irish Shop on March 17, 1995.

Once a year we take a tour together to Ireland, which we have designed. We strive to make it as leisurely and personal as possible. We normally spend two nights in each city and include about four optional golf days on our tours. There are no early wake up calls, we do not leave the hotel before 9am unlike some tours where you are up and out by 7am.

Our tours are normally 8 -11 days and our groups range from 25 - 40 people.  

All prices quoted are out of Orlando, however, this does not mean you must depart from Orlando. We have people from all over the United States join us on our tours. We either meet them in New York or Atlanta or sometimes in Shannon, whichever air schedule is best. We also try to include a stay at either Dromoland Castle or Ashford Castle on our tours.

Our prices are all inclusive of taxes, surcharges, and Trip Cancellation Insurance. There are no hidden costs.

If you are interested in visiting places where your families may have come from and you have enough information for us, John will make every effort to help you get there. If it is in the general vicinity of our tour, John will make arrangements to rent a car and take you to the exact spot. On previous tours John has helped people actually find relatives.
